Scott Hicks

Scott is passionate about recovery and loves to pass on the message. His sobriety date is 10 24 05. Scott grew up in Venice, CA and has been surfing since he was 12 years old. He has surfed Pipe Line in Hawaii and up and down the California coast. He loves to take clients out surfing and help them discover the spiritual benefits that the ocean has to offer. Scott is always quick to share his appreciation of the ocean with newcomers. Scott was also a semi-pro skateboarder who was on the cutting edge of skateboarding. The movie Lords of Dog Town was based on some of Scott's experiences. Today Scott says being sober has given him back his life, his daughter, his friendships, trust, and love. He feels like sobriety has given him back everything he ever lost. He says today he loves doing an honest days work for an honest days pay. Scott really enjoys seeing the sparkle in the eyes of those newly sober as they experience the program. Scott comes from a place of gratitude and says thanks to his sobriety, today he loves his life.
